It works really well. The digital display does have a back light. I did compare the accuracy of gauge against an older Milton analog. I have a Gear wrench one at home and it works wonderfully.

Regardless, I never had any issues regarding accuracy. The hose clamp pliers has a ratcheting feature that allows you to squeeze the open and then let go of plier handles. It stays on for just a few seconds after pressing the button. You're really buying the tire gauge, but I'm adding hose clamp pliers as a bonus because it was easy enough to fit in box using ship.

I am including a cable-style hose clamp pliers also. I cleaned the rubber covering with mineral spirits, but it still looks a bit dirty as cavities are hard to clean. I think it was within 1-2 psi. I used this tire gauge as a lube/auto tech for over year.

I used this Astro one just a few times for work. It definitely served its purpose and was great to use.
